ArtsAgenda Commission
This commissioning scheme will enable UK artists to create new work that responds to identified gaps in the UK performing arts market. Unlike conventional commissioning models, the ArtsAgenda Commission will offer substantial creative producer support from the outset, including in-depth knowledge of touring circuits and current trends in the site-specific and street arts scenes, both in the UK and Europe. Emphasis will be placed on long term viability of each piece, including infrastructure and touring costs, accessibility for diverse audiences and environmental impact.
The first commission, Sari Sari Nights by Nutkhut premièred at Derby Festé in September 2010.
