Inspired by Paradiso, the third section of Dante’s Divine Comedy, and by Blake’s poem Milton, the production responded uniquely to Liverpool cathedral’s awe-inspiring interior, whilst looking externally to the city beyond, asking the question: What is Paradise?

A journey through the rooms, corridors, hallways and stairwells of specially chosen sites inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice.

Exploring the feverish, oppressive atmosphere and the hallucinatory, nightmarish quality of Dostoyevsky’s world through a highly visual work based on Crime & Punishment.
Company information
dreamthinkspeak explores the use of space, light, image, film, sound and text as equal ingredients in creating live performance, exploring how the use of different environments can radically alter the relationship of the audience to the work. Each production is re-created and re-designed afresh for different sites that have their own stories, echoes and architectural features.
