One Step Forward,
One Step Back

7 April - 10 May 2008

Anglican Cathedral, Liverpool

A world premiere commissioned by the Liverpool Culture Company for European Capital of Culture 2008.

One Step Forward, One Step Back is a major new site-specific work specially created for Liverpool’s magnificent Anglican Cathedral. Inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy, the piece will respond uniquely to the cathedral's awe-inspiring interior, while also looking out to the city of Liverpool beyond, asking the question: What is Paradise? One Step Forward, One Step Back will weave a magical journey for intimately sized groups through areas of the cathedral previously unseen by the public.

Lose the Plot

Commissioned by Brighton & Hove Children's Festival and the JourneyOn campaign

April 15 2008

Children of Brighton are invited to Choose Their Own Journey and Lose The Plot in a rollercoaster ride of adventure, interactive performance and an authentic pirate Treasure Hunt in a race against the clock. Taking place on Volk’s Railway to celebrate its 125th birthday, Magnus Volk himself and his time-flying father keep the train carriages filled with fun and puzzles, whilst literary and mythical figures from the past join the team to solve the greatest mystery of them all. Suitable for children 8 – 11, this event promises to be different for every child involved, with an adventure they choose themselves filled with twisted plots, pots of gold, numerous clocks and a lot more besides.
