The French artist Denis Tricot gently transforms streets and squares with his elegant wooden sculpture installations.
His method is simple: using quantities of three metre long flexible planks of birch wood he builds lines, waves and arches that weave their way through streets, squares and parks.
Denis Tricot creates memorable pathways of flowing curves, gently turning the familiar sites of a town into temporary art galleries and his sculptures are inspired by the architecture that surrounds them.
Tricot’s company changes according to the project; it can include dancers, musicians, or poets.
Denis Tricot was last seen in the UK last summer at Henley Festival 2007.
