Jane Ponsford is an artist who uses ephemeral and delicate structures with which to draw.

ArtsAgenda are working with Jane Ponsford as mentors for her 2007 project, Papertrails. During this year she is taking her work out into the landscape, working on a twelve-month residency making a series of temporary site-specific sculptures within the Surrey woodlands.

Papertrails

Pools of hand cast paper petals, drawn lines and enclosures will appear and disappear across the landscape. Some of the pieces will be in place only a few hours, others only a few days.

Papertrails is funded by Arts Council England, The RC Sherriff Trust and Elmbridge Borough Council.

The project is also supported by The Friends of St George’s Church and The Churches Conservation Trust who have invited Jane to be their first artist in residence at St George’s Church, Esher.
