Katie Etheridge works with digital video, performance, and installation to explore and evoke the past; bringing to life lost, hidden or imagined histories.
In 2006 Katie Etheridge embarked on her first summer tour with two pieces: A Short History of Silence (first appearing at Farnham Maltings November 2005) and The Hollow Lady (which premiered at the NRLA Glasgow February 2006.)
Katie Etheridge has presented work that attempts to transcend conventional confines of the screen in a variety of contexts including Tramway, Farnham Maltings, Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, Chisenhale Dance Space, Winchester Hat Fair, Manchester’s Garden of Delights and the National Review of Live Art.
Katie Etheridge co-runs Brighton studio and window gallery The Old Clock Shop, and in May 2005 co-curated Clock Works, a live art pilot project involving 13 artists.
