Jane Ponsford is an artist who uses ephemeral and delicate structures with which to draw.
During that year she took her work out into the landscape, working on a twelve-month residency making a series of temporary site-specific sculptures within the Surrey woodlands.
Pools of hand cast paper petals, drawn lines and enclosures appeared and disappeared across the landscape. Some of the pieces were in place only a few hours, others only a few days.
The project was also supported by The Friends of St George’s Church and The Churches Conservation Trust who invited Jane to be their first artist in residence at St George’s Church, Esher.
